What are the steps for hooking up Playstation 3 for online play?

Hi there,

I just got Playstation 3 not too long ago and I hear its free to play online through it. I’m not too sure the steps on hooking this up or what I need to get started. I currently have internet connection via wireless that I’m picking up from a neighbor through a laptop and desktop.

Any ideas/suggestions/help would be great, thanks!

1)Well the PS3 comes built in WIFI so all you have to do is go to settings and go all the way down to Network and modify the settings so it will accept wireless connection

2)When you access it for the first time you will be asked to to create an account, just follow the steps and create one

3)Finally, all you have to do access online gameplay from within the game you are trying to play with

And thats it! There you go online play!

A lot of the questions I’ve noticed that are being asked by the gamers on here yahoo show that there is not a real central place for us gamers to go and really find out answers of question from actual gamers out there. That there is no real central community of an website you can go to for gamers alike around the world. Id recommend this upcoming website

I heard some good news prior to its launch…and read some articles about it; I am excited about it…I was searching around for answers to in terms of gaming and game across this…

I think they will discuss all pure gaming related questions, by the actual gamers like us that are out there. Ids definitely recommend it as a source for the future use, I hope even to catch you guys there…

I hope this helps too some extent, and am sorry I cant give a precise answer,does anyone else have some suggestions?
